Caitlyn and Garret decided to renew their vows back home in Wisconsin on her parent’s farm. The morning started out with a little bit of rain and some hail but it quickly went away so that we could take photos and do their small hand fasting ceremony outside. I’d never photographed a hand fasting ceremony before but what happens during it is the couples hands are tied together with a rope or ribbon and in doing so this represents their commitment to each other.

The afternoon was full of smiles and laughs and even included a rainbow towards the end of the night. I am so honored they found me and chose me to do their vow renewal. As you all know I love love love photographing small intimate events!
