How to Include Dogs or Other Pets in Your Wedding Day

To many of us our pets are part of our family and some of us want them to be a part of our wedding day with us. If you’re tossing the idea around I say go for it but there are other options if you want to include them in spirit but don’t want them at the actual event as well!

  1. Flower Pup or Ring Pup in the Ceremony

Include them in the ceremony and have them walk down the aisle in front of you. Some people have tied fake rings to the dog’s collar before and others have had their dogs carry flowers and wear tutus down to the front. Be as creative as you’d like with this the guests always love it and think it is so cute. It is also an alternative to having a traditional flower girl or ring bearer. You can also just have them on leashes and walk down with a bridesmaid or groomsman as well.

2. Decor

Add images of them to your table decor or ceremony decor so that others know they are apart of your family too.

3. Make a Cake Topper of Them

Have a custom cake topper made of them and put it on the side of the cake or next to your cake topper. You could also just put the cake topper on the dessert table for others to see if you don’t want it on the physical cake.

4. Create a Custom Drink for Them

Many people like to go to the bar and create a custom drink in their memory (can be alcoholic or non alcoholic). Give it a cool name that reminds you of your pup!

5. Put Them on Your Wedding Favor

Whatever your wedding favor may be try to include them on it. Maybe it’s a dog sugar cookie or a dog stamp on a party favor bag. There are many many options to choose from when it comes to this.

I hope this gave you a few simple options to incorporate your beloved pets or dogs into your wedding day. If you have any other ideas let me know I’d love to include them!
